About Guidy

Guidy Mamann is the founding partner of Mamann Sandaluk LLP, a Toronto-based immigration and refugee law firm. He began his career as an immigration officer with the Department of Citizenship and Immigration at Pearson International Airport before earning a political science degree at York University and graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1985. He was called to the Ontario bar in 1987 and to the Massachusetts bar in 2025, and practices both Canadian and U.S. immigration law. In 1995, he became the youngest lawyer in Ontario to be recognized as a Specialist in Immigration Law, an honour granted by the Law Society of Ontario, and he is one of only a dozen Ontario lawyers certified in both immigration and refugee protection law. He has served as President of Jewish Immigrant Aid Services in Toronto and as Programme Coordinator for the Canadian Bar Association's Immigration Section. Guidy speaks French and Hebrew in addition to English.
