About Grant

Grant B. Moffat is a partner practising insolvency, restructuring, and banking law, with a particular focus on creditors' rights. He frequently acts for lending syndicates and hedge providers in sectors such as energy and infrastructure, and he often serves as independent counsel to court-appointed receivers, bankruptcy trustees, and CCAA monitors. Grant has been recognized for his insolvency work by Best Lawyers in Canada, Chambers, and Lexpert, and as a National Leader for Restructuring and Insolvency by Who's Who Legal. He speaks and writes regularly on insolvency topics for professional associations and contributes to the Lexis Practice Advisor. He acted as pro bono counsel for the Insolvency Institute of Canada as an intervener before the Supreme Court of Canada in Callidus Capital v. Canada.
