François-Pierre Laforest joined DWF as a partner in 2025. His civil litigation experience includes representing institutional clients before Quebec's and Canada's principal courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada. Laforest advises domestic and international insurers on defence, recovery, and coverage matters, and coordinates the firm's bank collection files. While seconded to the London Market, he managed international claims within his delegated authority, which gave him a close understanding of the Lloyd's market. He holds a law degree with a major in economics from the Université de Montréal and belongs to the Barreau du Québec, and he sits on the board of a non-profit dedicated to access to justice.
