About Francis
Francis Lamer joined the firm in 1997 following seven years at national Vancouver firms and a Supreme Court of Canada clerkship. His practice spans complex litigation including business disputes, insolvency, securities litigation, real estate disputes, mining litigation, and shareholder remedies, and notable matters include shareholder oppression claims, joint-venture litigation, a $25 million arbitration, a constitutional Securities Act challenge, and matrimonial property division cases. He has appeared before all court levels through the Supreme Court of Canada. He holds an LLB and BCL from McGill University (1987) and a BCom from McGill (1983, University Scholar), and was called to the bar in Quebec in 1988 and British Columbia in 1990. He is recognized by Benchmark Canada as a 'Litigation Star', holds a Distinguished Martindale-Hubbell rating, and is recognized by Best Lawyers Canada for Appellate Litigation.
