About Folasade
Folasade Olugbemi, known as Fola, holds a Bachelor of Laws from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria and was called to the Nigerian Bar in November 2009. She also completed the Chartered Secretaries Course through the Chartered Governance Institute in the UK. She began her career as in-house counsel with a financial institution in Nigeria before working across the private sector in roles from in-house counsel to company secretary. She is a partner at EO Law and a member in good standing of the Law Society of Alberta. Her practice focuses on divorce, parenting, child welfare, and matrimonial property in family law, insurance claims in personal injury matters, refugee claims in immigration law, and residential real estate transactions. She volunteers with Closer to Home, Women in Need Society, and Elizabeth Fry Society.
