Eric Granger is a criminal defence lawyer who represents clients at every stage of the criminal process, from bail hearings through trials and appeals. He has a particular interest in appellate work and has argued before the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court of Canada and various administrative tribunals. He earned his LL.B. (magna cum laude) from the University of Ottawa's Common Law Program in 2004, after a B.Arts.Sc. (summa cum laude) from McMaster University in 2001, and articled at the firm's predecessor, Greenspon, Brown & Associates. He is also a part-time professor at the University of Ottawa law school, where he has taught appellate advocacy since 2015, and sits on the steering committee of the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic and the board of the Collaborative Justice Program at the Ottawa Courthouse. He was a co-recipient of the Defence Counsel Association of Ottawa's 2017 William Carroll Award for criminal case of the year.
