About Eric

Eric Blain joined Thomas Gold Pettingill in 2021 after articling at a large regional firm in London, Ontario, where he built experience in civil and commercial litigation. He now defends insurers and policyholders in a wide variety of complex claims, touching on cybersecurity and privacy breaches, school liability issues, premises and product safety, building and construction disputes, transportation and sports-related injuries, and professional negligence, along with motor vehicle coverage matters. He graduated with an honours Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University and completed his JD at the University of Western Ontario in 2020, where he served as an associate coordinator for the school's Dispute Resolution Centre and competed at the Gale Cup. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2021.
