Criminal DefenceEmma Arnold joined PATH Legal as a Staff Lawyer in 2023, after completing her articles with the Elizabeth Fry Society of Mainland Nova Scotia and PATH. Her practice covers prison law, civil litigation, administrative law and constitutional law, and she has appeared at all levels of court in Nova Scotia, the Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada. She holds a degree in Criminology and Aviation Management from Western University and a law degree from Dalhousie University's Schulich School of Law. While in law school she contributed to a case that found a law unconstitutional for discriminating against women, and she litigated Nova Scotia's first published decision on the non-consensual distribution of intimate images. She serves on the board of the Legal Information Society of Nova Scotia.
