About Elizabeth

Elizabeth Emery is a litigator at Murphy Battista LLP who acts exclusively for plaintiffs, with a practice focused on class actions, personal injury claims, and civil sexual misconduct claims, including sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse and non-consensual intimate image distribution. She has worked at the firm since 2017, while completing her law degree, and has appeared before the BC Provincial Court, the BC Supreme Court and the BC Court of Appeal. She has contributed to the Canadian Class Action Review as an author and has volunteered with the Legal Education Outreach Program, Access Pro Bono, and the UBC Innocence Project. Elizabeth earned her JD from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC in 2020 and a BA in psychology from UBC in 2016, and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2021.
