About Elise
Lavigne has practised family law since 2001 across the Alberta Court of Justice, the Court of King's Bench, and the Alberta Court of Appeal. She is a registered collaborative family lawyer, family mediator and arbitrator, and parenting coordinator, and her current practice focuses heavily on mediation, arbitration, and collaborative work. Before law school she was a manager in the oil and gas industry and president of a consulting firm working on public consultation and impact assessment for energy projects. She volunteers with the Calgary Women's Centre's legal clinic and has worked with survivors of domestic violence, and was appointed a Dispute Resolution Officer for the Court of King's Bench of Alberta in 2009.
