About Douglas

Douglas Hughes is a partner at Bishop & McKenzie in Edmonton, focusing on real estate law with an emphasis on industrial and commercial leasing for landlords and foreclosures for banks and other lenders. He spent six years as Chair of the Edmonton Food Bank Board and remains its Director Emeritus and Past Chair, and helped establish a job-search resource office and community garden as Chair of the WeCan Cooperative for Community and Economic Development. Douglas holds a BA with Distinction and an LLB, both from the University of Alberta, and was called to the Alberta Bar in 1984.
