About Dominika
Dominika Ellery was born and raised in Timmins and is a first-generation Polish Canadian. She earned an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice, specializing in Criminology, from Nipissing University, spending a year studying abroad at the University of the West Indies in Barbados. She went on to complete a dual-degree program, earning a Canadian Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor and an American Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy, and has practiced law in Timmins since 2014 after completing her articles there. She practices in criminal law, family law, real estate, and wills and estates, and is active in the community through organizations including Take Two Theatre, the Anti-Hunger Coalition Timmins, and the board of directors for Crime Stoppers. She also taught in Northern College's Police Foundations program, from which she graduated with honours.
