About Devon

Devon R. Kapoor is an associate at Lenczner Slaght with a broad litigation practice focused on commercial disputes, along with intellectual property, construction and infrastructure matters, and appeals. He has represented clients before the Ontario Superior Court, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, and the Federal Courts, and has appeared as counsel to interveners at the Supreme Court of Canada. Before joining the firm, Devon practiced in New York at a leading US law firm representing public and private companies in high-stakes commercial litigation, and he clerked for Justice Michael Moldaver at the Supreme Court of Canada and for Chief Justice George Strathy and Justice Michael Tulloch at the Court of Appeal for Ontario. He earned a joint JD/MBA from Osgoode Hall in 2019 and a BA from McGill in 2014, and was called to the bar in Ontario in 2020 and New York in 2022. His recent files include representing REALPAC as intervener at the Supreme Court and defending Canadian news media companies in litigation against OpenAI.
