About Derrick
Derrick Kimball has practised law for over 40 years and founded the firm, originally known as Kimball & Associates, in 1978. He began his career in general practice in Wolfville in partnership with Linden Smith, Q.C. until 1983, then started his own practice before forming what is now Kimball Law in 1996. He served as solicitor for the Town of Wolfville and the Village of New Minas, and sat as an adjudicator for the Small Claims Court of Nova Scotia and vice chair of the Assessment Appeal Court for Kings. He was elected to the Nova Scotia Legislative Assembly for Kings South in 1988 and chaired several legislative committees during his term. His practice today is focused primarily on civil litigation and personal injury law, and he has appeared before all levels of court in Nova Scotia as well as the Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada.
