About Deborah

Deborah Templer is a partner and litigator handling commercial and class action disputes, with a particular focus on product liability. She leads teams through large, high-stakes cases that often span multiple jurisdictions. Her work includes defending Canadian and foreign companies in class actions, including cost-recovery suits brought by governments over alleged toxic torts. She has advised clients in financial services, manufacturing, technology, infrastructure, telecommunications, consumer goods, and pharmaceuticals. Her commercial practice also covers contractual claims, economic torts, and shareholder remedy disputes. Deborah chairs the board of Pro Bono Ontario, serves as a director of The Advocates' Society, and co-chairs an American Bar Association subcommittee on class and derivative actions. She also belongs to the International Association of Defence Counsel.
