About Deborah
Deborah Hatch has practised law for 25 years and is recognized as a senior trial and appellate lawyer, having argued over 120 cases before the Alberta Court of Appeal along with appeals before the Supreme Court of Canada and the Court of Queen's Bench. She represents individual and corporate clients facing criminal and quasi-criminal matters, including environmental and regulatory charges, and is particularly experienced in sexual assault and jury cases. She has sat on the Law Society of Alberta's Criminal Practice Advisory Committee and Credentials and Education Committee, served as President of the Criminal Trial Lawyers' Association from 2009 to 2011, and has been a Director of the Canadian Council of Criminal Defence Lawyers since 2012. She was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers in 2018 and has taught the Law of Evidence at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Law.
