About Deanne

Deanne MacLeod is a Partner called to the Nova Scotia bar in 1997, with over 25 years of experience advising on corporate and commercial matters. She works with entrepreneurs, owner-managed businesses, publicly traded companies, and real estate investment trusts, and has led transaction teams on acquisitions, divestitures, and corporate reorganizations. MacLeod has particular depth in commercial real estate, including portfolio acquisitions and divestitures, leasing arrangements, and secured financing. She also maintains a competition law practice, advising on merger reviews and marketing compliance. MacLeod holds an MBA and LL.B. from Dalhousie University and a BBA from Mount Saint Vincent University, chairs the firm's Partnership Board, and was named King's Counsel in 2023.
