About David

David is a partner at Thomas Butler LLP whose practice focuses on commercial transactions, trusts and estates, and real estate matters. He moved to Kelowna in 2004 after spending over a decade at a major Vancouver law firm handling complex corporate transactions and commercial litigation. He has been appointed as an arbitrator by British Columbia and also works as a certified mediator. Outside the firm, he chairs the board of a Calgary-based energy company, sits on the board of a Toronto public company, and has helped launch and operate several businesses. David holds a law degree and a Bachelor of Arts, both from the University of British Columbia. He has coached Kelowna Minor Hockey for 12 years and plays competitive hockey and amateur golf.
