David Mulroney earned degrees in English and law from the University of British Columbia in 1977 and 1980, and has practised law for 45 years. He articled in 1979 at Wilson, King & Company before becoming a partner there in 1984, handling corporate, commercial, construction, personal injury, banking, foreclosure, and municipal litigation. He moved to Victoria in 1988 to join Jones, Emery and, in 1992, set up his own firm, later partnering with Christopher Siver to form Mulroney Siver Law. From 1995 to 2005 he served as standing agent for the Attorney General of Canada, prosecuting federal tax, drug, fisheries, and immigration offences in Greater Victoria. His practice now spans professional discipline defence, tax litigation, wills and estates litigation, business and construction disputes, and real estate litigation, and he has represented lawyers, police officers, developers, and medical professionals in regulatory proceedings.
