About David

David Piccolo's practice centers on corporate tax planning and corporate reorganizations, informed by significant litigation experience before the Tax Court of Canada, the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal. That litigation background helps him steer clients away from common pitfalls in complex transactions and gives him a strong grasp of income tax and GST/HST issues. He is certified by the Law Society of Ontario as a specialist in taxation law. David earned his JD from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2008, winning the Ronald Robertson Q.C. Memorial Tax Prize, and holds a BBA from York University's Schulich School of Business. He has written for publications including the Supreme Court Law Review and Taxnetpro.
