About David

David Church has practiced civil litigation at both the trial and appellate levels for more than 35 years since being called to the bar of British Columbia in 1983. Before founding Church & Company in 2001, he was a partner in another Vancouver litigation firm and, before that, at a large full-service firm. His practice covers corporate and commercial litigation, administrative and regulatory matters, construction disputes, securities litigation, and employment law, and he has appeared before the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal of British Columbia, the Alberta Court of King's Bench, the Federal Court, and the Supreme Court of Canada. He has also appeared before professional regulatory bodies and securities regulators and has acted as an arbitrator and mediator in commercial and construction matters. He lectures and presents continuing legal education courses for legal, business, and professional audiences. Church holds the King's Counsel designation and was selected for the 2026 edition of The Best Lawyers in Canada for corporate and commercial litigation, and he holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
