About James
James grew up on a hobby farm east of Red Deer and attended the University of Alberta, obtaining a Bachelor of Laws degree in 2007. He articled with an established Red Deer law firm and was called to the Alberta bar in 2008, continuing there as an associate and joining the partnership in 2013. He left the firm in early 2021 to open his own office, Cawsey Law, and practises exclusively as a solicitor with a focus on the legal needs of owner-managed businesses and their shareholders, representing clients in industries including oilfield servicing, construction, manufacturing, agriculture, professional services, real estate, retail, and hospitality.
