About David

David Lees is a partner at Mills & Mills LLP, which he joined in 2001 after articling there. His civil litigation practice takes in estate disputes, employment conflicts, business disagreements, and issues involving non-profit directors and members. He has advocated before all levels of court in Ontario, including the Divisional Court and Court of Appeal, as well as various tribunals and arbitrators. In 2018 he took on the role of Managing Partner for LegalShield at the firm, overseeing service delivery to members, and he also sits on several boards. David was called to the bar in 2002 and holds an honours BA (1997), a master's degree (2000), and a JD (2000), all from the University of Toronto.
