About David

David Hillier is an associate whose practice centres on the regulatory and relationship side of managing lands and resources, with particular attention to modern treaty implementation. Mineral development forms a core part of that work, with advice on regulatory questions and negotiations from the initial claim stage through to closure. When needed, David turns to litigation and dispute resolution to defend Indigenous sovereignty and pursue just outcomes for clients. David holds a JD from the University of Calgary and a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Guelph, and is admitted to practise in British Columbia, the Northwest Territories, Ontario, and Yukon.
