About Dantae

Dantae Gagnier is building a commercial and civil litigation practice. Before joining her current firm, she practised at an international firm where she gained experience in shareholder disputes, class actions, professional negligence, regulatory matters, and labour and employment disputes, appearing before the Alberta Court of Justice, the Alberta Court of King's Bench and various provincial tribunals. She graduated from the University of Calgary Faculty of Law in 2022, where her research touched on social media securitization and online content moderation, and she volunteered with Student Legal Assistance while serving as an executive with UCalgary OUTLaw and the Pro Bono Students Canada Trans ID Clinic. Before law school she earned a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Political Studies from Queen's University and worked for the United Nations Global Compact in New York. She was called to the Alberta bar in 2023 and the Ontario bar in 2024.
