About Daniel

Daniel Mowat-Rose is a partner at Stewart McKelvey in Halifax with a broad corporate commercial practice, particularly in banking and commercial real estate law. He works with clients across sectors including real estate, financial services, agriculture, manufacturing, and natural resources. His work includes acting for banks and private lenders on loan and security documents, assisting developers with land acquisition and project financing, and advising on mergers, acquisitions, and corporate reorganizations. Mowat-Rose has also acted as local counsel for a Canadian institutional pension fund on a multibillion-dollar real property portfolio reorganization. He holds a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School (York University) and a BA in Economics from MacEwan University. He was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2021 and the Alberta bar in 2015.
