About Danica

Danica Fersovitch is a solicitor in Witten's Commercial Group whose practice focuses on commercial lending, commercial real estate and development, and corporate law. She regularly advises financial institutions, private lenders and borrowers on financing matters, including real estate development, construction, term and CMHC-insured financing, and has developed particular expertise in condominium corporation financing. Before becoming a lawyer, Danica designed software used to prepare commercial financing documents and security registrations, a background that continues to inform her work with legal technology. She earned her JD from the University of Alberta in 2016 and was admitted to the Alberta bar in 2017. Having grown up on a farm in northeast Alberta, she brings a practical, grounded approach to her work, and outside the office she enjoys gardening and spending time with her husband and children.
