About Danesh
Danesh Rana helps clients resolve employment, commercial, and insurance disputes, combining experience with careful analysis of potential outcomes to seek practical, timely resolutions. In his employment practice, he advises employees and employers on wrongful dismissal, human rights violations, and employment standards disputes, and works with employers on proactive measures to prevent claims. He frequently acts on shareholder, supplier, and joint-venture disputes, and, drawing on past experience as plaintiff counsel, advises insurers on the defence of motor vehicle and bodily injury claims. He has appeared before numerous tribunals as well as the Ontario Divisional and Superior Courts and the Court of Appeal. In 2026, he and colleague Kasia Knap defeated a motion to strike a constructive dismissal claim in Van Drunen v. Canadian Nuclear Laboratories. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2008, earning his LL.B. from UNB Law and a BSc from Memorial University.
