About Dan

Dan Peskett is a founding partner of Swainson Miki Peskett and leads the firm's litigation group. Born and raised in Edmonton, he received his Bachelor of Science and law degree from the University of Alberta and was called to the Alberta bar in 1993. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, including contract disputes, construction and builders' lien issues, security enforcement, insolvency and restructuring, shareholder disputes, lease issues, and product liability claims, with regular appearances before the Alberta Court of Appeal, Court of Queen's Bench, and Provincial Court as well as in arbitration and mediation. He volunteers at the Edmonton Community Legal Centre and chairs the board of Kids Kottage, a crisis-prevention charity.
