About Cynthia
Cynthia Crysler leads the Pensions and Benefits practice at Cavalluzzo LLP. Over 25 years, she has approached pension and benefits law from multiple angles, starting in private practice representing unions, employees, and plan administrators before moving into government roles, including work with a large jointly sponsored public sector plan and Ontario's pension regulator. While in government, she was seconded as counsel to the Ontario Expert Commission on Pensions, which produced the first comprehensive report on Canada's pension system in two decades. She advises clients on governance, compliance, and dispute resolution across various types of pension plans. Cynthia holds an LLB from the University of Western Ontario and an LLM from University College London, and is qualified as both an Ontario lawyer and a solicitor of England and Wales.
