Managing Partner at Spectrum Family Law
Conan Taylor is the Managing Partner of Spectrum Family Law, guiding the firm's growth across Alberta and British Columbia. He has largely stepped back from active legal practice, focusing instead on building the firm's teams and expanding its reach so that specialized family law services remain accessible across both provinces. Before law, Taylor served nine years as an officer with the Canadian Armed Forces, earning his pilot's wings in 1983 and accumulating more than 4,500 hours of flight time, including three years as a NATO Exchange Officer with the Royal Air Force flying Chinook helicopters, and retired from military service in 1989 at the rank of Captain. Over 29 years of legal practice, originally in corporate and commercial litigation, he has resolved more than $500 million in contested claims and served on boards spanning mining, pharmacy, construction, land development, and technology.
