About Conan

Conan Taylor is the founding Managing Partner of Canadian Currents Immigration Services, leading teams across its Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver offices. Before law he served nine years as a Canadian Armed Forces officer, earning his pilot's wings in 1983 and flying Chinook helicopters as a NATO exchange officer with the Royal Air Force before retiring as a Captain in 1989. He then earned a BA (Honours) in Philosophy from the University of Alberta and an LLB/JD from Queen's University, and over a 29-year legal career resolved more than $500 million in contested claims through a corporate and commercial litigation practice. He no longer practises law on a day-to-day basis, focusing instead on building the firm's team of immigration lawyers, consultants and paralegals and expanding its reach across Alberta and British Columbia.
