About Colleen
Colleen Kovacs has more than 40 years of experience in wills, trusts, estate and incapacity planning, and estate administration. She advises clients on using wills, trusts, and other tools to minimize family conflict and reduce probate fees, and helps clients avoid and resolve estate disputes through mediation or, where needed, litigation. She has held senior positions with several Victoria estate-planning organizations, including as a past president of the Estate Planning Council of Victoria and of the Wills, Trusts and Fiduciary Relations Victoria subsection of the Canadian Bar Association, and is a member of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners. She is also active on several charitable boards, including education and hospital boards for Catholic institutions in the Diocese of Victoria.
