About Emre

Emre Kurultay is a Canadian immigration lawyer and partner at Slayen Immigration Law. He immigrated to Canada from Turkiye and grew up in Vancouver. He earned a BA Honours in History with International Relations from the University of British Columbia in 2020, receiving the J.H. Stewart Reid Gold Medal, and completed his Juris Doctor at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC in 2023, where he received the Alexander J. Cohen Memorial Award and the Hon. Thomas A. Dohm, QC Prize in Immigration Law. He joined Slayen Immigration Law as an associate and was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2024. He assists clients with work permits, study permits, visitor visas, and permanent resident applications, and appears before the Immigration and Refugee Board and the Federal Court of Canada. He is fluent in Turkish.
