About Claude

Claude Dauphin practises municipal and administrative law, civil liability, and business law. Before joining the firm, he had a long career in public service: he sat as a member of the National Assembly of Québec from 1981 to 1993, served as Québec's delegate to New England (Boston) in 1994, and later advised the federal Minister of Finance on public policy. He was mayor of the Lachine borough from 2001 to 2017 and a Montréal city councillor over four terms, chairing the City of Montréal's executive committee from 2008 to 2009. He also chaired the board of the Société de transport de Montréal from 2001 to 2005 and later served as president of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. He is a governor of the Lachine Hospital Foundation.
