About Chuck
Chuck Blanaru is a commercial lawyer at Heath Law LLP, called to the Manitoba Bar in 1984 and the British Columbia Bar in 1994. He acts as designated counsel to several of Vancouver Island's leading financial institutions on commercial mortgage lending, personal property secured transactions, syndications, and related matters, and provides general counsel to businesses and organizations in the central Vancouver Island area. He also has significant experience in personal injury claims, including brain and spinal cord injury cases. He has contributed chapters to several legal textbooks on debt collection, limitation periods, and enforcement of foreign judgments, and has lectured for the Law Society of British Columbia and the Canadian Bar Association. Chuck served on the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia's Executive and Board of Governors, and has been active for many years in Nanaimo youth hockey administration and community organizations.
