About Christopher
Christopher Chen is the founder of 606 Essex Chambers and has practised law since 2012, first in the United States and then in Canada. He focuses on commercial litigation and general corporate work, representing businesses and individuals in disputes involving fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and other civil claims, as well as arbitration matters. In his corporate practice, he assists clients with buying and selling businesses, forming business entities, corporate governance, and drafting commercial agreements such as shareholders' and share purchase agreements. Before founding 606 Essex Chambers, Chris worked at law firms in St. Louis and Taipei City, as in-house counsel for a venture capital fund in Taipei, and at a boutique litigation firm in downtown Vancouver. He is also a non-practising Certified Public Accountant in Delaware and worked as a tax accountant at two Big Four accounting firms before becoming a lawyer. He speaks Mandarin Chinese.
