About Christopher

Christopher Arnold is a Barrister and Solicitor practicing exclusively in family law, Collaborative Divorce, and family mediation in Ottawa. He grew up in Ottawa, earned a B.A. in Economics from Queen's University in 1988, and graduated cum laude from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law in 1993 before being called to the Ontario Bar in 1995. He began in general practice before co-founding Dickie & Arnold LLP in 1999, later helping launch Mann & Partners LLP (now MannLawyers LLP), and set up his current independent practice in 2008 to focus on supportive, out-of-court family law services. He helps separating and divorcing spouses, as well as cohabiting partners, resolve parenting, child and spousal support, and property division issues through negotiation, collaborative divorce, or mediation rather than litigation. He was a founder of the Collaborative Law Network of Eastern Ontario (now Collaborative Divorce Ottawa) and the Ontario Collaborative Law Federation, serving as president of each, and is an Adjunct Professor teaching collaborative family law at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law. He is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and the County of Carleton Law Association.
