Christopher Arnold, Barrister and Solicitor, is a family law practice in Ottawa focused on collaborative divorce and family mediation. Arnold was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1995, after a B.A. in Economics from Queen's University in 1988 and a law degree, cum laude, from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law in 1993. The independent practice opened on July 1, 1995, and over the following years included partnerships at Dickie & Arnold LLP and at Mann & Partners LLP (now MannLawyers LLP), before Arnold set up an independent family law practice in 2008 that hasn't changed focus since.
Arnold has been part of Ottawa's collaborative divorce movement for over 20 years, co-founding the Collaborative Law Network of Eastern Ontario (now Collaborative Divorce Ottawa) and the Ontario Collaborative Law Federation, and serving as president of both. Arnold also teaches collaborative family law as an adjunct professor at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law. The practice has run as a virtual office since 2018, with the lawyer and staff working from home and meeting clients by appointment at locations around the city.
