About Christine

Christine M. York is a partner at Alexander Holburn Beaudin + Lang and serves as the firm's Director of Associate and Student Programs. Much of her legal practice was in litigation, particularly defending professionals such as accountants, financial advisors, and real estate appraisers, along with general insurance defence and personal injury work. Over the past 20-plus years she has shifted her focus toward professional talent and culture, overseeing the firm's recruitment, training, and mentorship of associates and students. Christine joined the firm as a summer student in 1994, clerked at the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and worked as an articled student and litigation associate before becoming a partner in 2004. She holds an LLB with Distinction from the University of Alberta, an MBA from Western Washington University, and a BA from the University of Victoria, and was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 1997. She belongs to the National Association for Legal Professionals, its Canada chapter, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Vancouver Bar Association.
