Christiana Essie Sagay leads Chressa Law from Kanata, Ontario, practising employment law, immigration and mobility law, cross-border matters, and technology and AI law, and offering notarial services. She advises employees on wrongful dismissal and severance matters and employers on contracts, workplace policies, and compliance, including hiring foreign workers through LMIA applications. Her immigration practice covers work permits, permanent residence, sponsorship, and appeals. Sagay holds an LL.B. from the University of Benin, Nigeria, an LL.M. in International Legal Studies from American University Washington College of Law, and a B.A. in Linguistics from the University of Benin. She is a PhD candidate in law at the University of Ottawa and is admitted as a Barrister, Solicitor and Notary Public to the Ontario Bar, as well as to the Supreme Court of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. She has presented at institutions including the American Society of International Law, the International Bar Association, and the Max Planck Institute, and co-chairs the IBA's Poverty and Social Development Committee.
