About Christian

Christian Farahat was called to the bar in 2010. He articled with a well-known civil and commercial litigation firm in Toronto and practised at a general litigation boutique before joining Matthews Abogado LLP in 2012. His practice touches many areas of insurance defence litigation, including casualty, occupiers' liability, products liability, accident benefits, and commercial general liability claims, along with related coverage disputes. He earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts in criminology, political science, and psychology from the University of Toronto in 2006 and his LL.B. from the University of Windsor in 2009, where he represented the school at the Laskin Competitive Moot and argued in French, his native language. Christian is also an active choral singer, performing with groups including the Cantabile Chamber Singers and the Victoria Scholars Men's Choral Ensemble.
