About Chris

Chris Clifford is a founding partner who graduated from Queen's University and once played goal professionally with the Chicago Blackhawks and Pittsburgh Penguins organizations. He began his legal career at Cassels Brock and Blackwell before moving to insurance defence firm Templeman Menninga, then in 1999 joined Ted Bergeron to found what became Bergeron Clifford, limiting his practice since to representing injured plaintiffs and their families. He has taught at Queen's University's law school and in the St. Lawrence College law program, and has lectured and published on civil litigation and insurance law, including teaching in the Law Society's bar admissions course. He is a Law Society of Ontario Certified Specialist in Civil Litigation and a member of the Nunavut Bar.
