About Chika
Chika Chiekwe is a partner in Cox & Palmer's Halifax office, called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2018. Her practice covers corporate and commercial law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities, commercial real estate, and general business law for start-ups and non-profits. She also maintains a wills and estates practice, advising clients on estate planning and administration. Chika holds an accounting degree from Acadia University and a JD from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. She has chaired the Nova Scotia Canadian Bar Association's Securities Law subsection and served on the board of the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers, Nova Scotia Chapter, and currently sits on the boards of the Halifax International Airport Authority, YWCA Halifax, Hope Blooms, and the Nova Scotia Career Development Association.
