About Celeste

Celeste Van Ameringen is a lawyer at Modern Family Law LLP who started with the firm as a law clerk and then articling student before being called to the bar. She earned an LLB with first class honours from the University of Leicester in 2019 and a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2021, alongside a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Guelph. During her LLM studies she focused on family law and volunteered at the Hamilton Community Legal Clinic, and earlier she researched freedom of expression as part of Lawyers without Borders' student division. Her practice covers divorce, separation agreements, child custody and access, property division, and spousal and child support.
