Julia handles the full range of family law matters, including separation, divorce, property division, custody and access, and mediated settlements. Before entering private practice, Julia spent seven years as in-house counsel with the Office of the Children's Lawyer, and remains a trusted member of its outside counsel panel. In November 2021, Julia was appointed Vice President of the Ontario Association of Child Protection Lawyers. Julia holds an LLB from Dalhousie University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto, and was called to the bar in 2004, now serving as Managing Partner of Phillips Barristers and a member of the Advocates' Society, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Family Law Association.
