About Chris

Chris Dormer is co-managing partner at DBB Law, advising clients on workplace issues including regulatory compliance, privacy, terminations, workplace investigations, human rights, and accommodations. He also handles corporate commercial matters such as employment issues arising from business sales, shareholder disputes, and debtor and creditor claims, and represents federally and provincially regulated clients in labour arbitrations and mediations. Chris has appeared before all levels of the Alberta courts, the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan, and the Federal Court of Canada, and has written and presented on employment and labour topics for the Legal Education Society of Alberta and other outlets. Raised in Calgary, he joined the firm as an associate in 2019 after articling and practicing with an international firm in the city.
