About William

William Lane is a litigation partner at McDougall Gauley whose practice centers on complex commercial litigation, construction disputes, and administrative law. He has appeared before the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal and Court of King's Bench as well as administrative tribunals, and co-authors annual Court of Appeal reviews for the Saskatchewan Law Review. He has served as a Bencher of the Law Society of Saskatchewan since 2018 and previously clerked at the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal. William earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies from the University of Saskatchewan in 2011, a Juris Doctor with great distinction in 2014, and a Master of Laws from the University of Chicago Law School in 2016. He was called to the Saskatchewan bar in 2015.
