About Susan

Susan (Sue) Barber is a senior partner at McDougall Gauley LLP in Regina, focusing on labour and employment law along with administrative, civil, commercial, and estate litigation. She advises on employment standards, human rights, workplace investigations, and collective bargaining agreements, and has appeared before the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board, the Canada Industrial Relations Board, and the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal. Sue is a former Bencher of the Law Society of Saskatchewan and past President of the Regina Bar Association, and she chairs the SaskEnergy Board of Directors. She has been repeatedly named Lawyer of the Year for Labour and Employment Law and for Administrative and Public Law in Regina, and received her Queen's Counsel designation in 2008. Sue earned a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan in 1987 and a Bachelor of Arts with great distinction from the University of Regina in 1994, and was called to the Saskatchewan bar in 1987.
