About Carter

Carter Bown returned to Sampson McPhee as an associate lawyer after previously working there as a summer student. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law in 2024, receiving the New Brunswick Law Foundation Scholarship, and volunteered at the Fredericton Legal Advice Clinic assisting low-income clients. Born and raised in Sydney, he also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Cape Breton University and a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary's University, and is a member of the Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Barristers' Societies.
