About Carole

Carole Benoit is originally from New Brunswick and returned to the province to open a boutique tax law practice serving individual and corporate clients across Atlantic Canada in both English and French. She previously worked as a litigator with the Department of Justice and as counsel to the Canada Revenue Agency in Ottawa, arguing cases before the Tax Court of Canada, the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal. Her practice covers CRA audit assistance, notices of objection, mutual agreement procedure requests for double taxation, tax litigation and settlement negotiations, plus taxpayer relief applications and the CRA Voluntary Disclosure Program. She also advises on wills and estate planning, having completed the educational component of the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation. Benoit holds an LL.B. and a Master's in Taxation (M. Fisc.).
